About M P Publishing

MP Publishing was founded as an independent trade publisher in 2008 by Mark Pearce with the aim of publishing books of quality fiction and non-fiction and with the commitment to bringing new and talented voices to the literary marketplace.

Our investment in literary projects started with our sister company in 2002 on the Isle Of Man and today has evolved into M P Publishing Limited with over 400 titles.

Having an established partnership with Macadam Cage Publishing Inc. in San Francisco, M P Publishing represents independent publishing at its best. Innovative in its approach to marketing and yet committed to the time-honored style of publishing, M P Publishing will continue to introduce new and exciting authors from across the nation and beyond.

With over a dozen new publications scheduled for Autumn 2010 release we are now looking for books for our spring 2011 catalogue.

If you are a writer and would like to submit work, please read the submission guidelines below.

M P Publishing Internship Program

Offered three times a year in our Douglas Office, our unpaid, part-time publishing internship program offers broad but involved experience with a tight-knit editorial group, as well as in the marketing and publicity departments. Interns will evaluate fiction and nonfiction manuscripts, organize and read unsolicited materials, and assist the editors and publicity directors in everyday administrative tasks such as mailing, shelving, filing, and light database management.

Candidates should have a strong interest in literature, a passion for reading with a critical eye, and organizational, verbal, and written skills. Interest in local publishing is a plus. We are extremely flexible with personal schedules, but require a commitment of two days a week for three months.

Internships are held during the Summer (June-August), Autumn (September-December), and Spring (February- May). To apply, please email your resume and cover letter to maria@mppublishing.co.uk with the subject line of "Internship program."
